Wedding Dress Color-Need Opinion

Happy New Year Everyone!

Today is the first time in a while I have had time to research all sorts of things for my wedding and I have been looking at flower girl dresses.

My dress looks like this:

and I would like my BM dress to be something like this:

My wedding gown is a 'silk white' but- it's not actual white...a little off...

The flowergirl dress is WHITE and just white. I have heard that when you put white next too a 'silk white' dress it is noticeable...Is Ivory going to be too yellowish for a flowergirl.

What do I do? I guess keep looking for a flowergirl dress...but, do you think it will be that noticeable? I'm a perfectionist and need suggestions on what to do. I got my dress at Kleinfeld's, can I order a swatch if my dress's coor & fabric to find something close for my flowergirls?

Has anyone ever had a 'silk white' dress with a white flower girl gown? Please help, opinions please!

sorry I can't help you with ivorys and whites but I can sympathsize with you- my dress is light gold with a blush shimmer and I didn't want anything close to white to be anywhere near me... I put my girls in pink... would you consider a color?

I didn't have a flower girl, but my dress was natural colored silk, so not pure white. I made sure my DH's shirt and vest for his tux were ivory and it worked perfectly, so I would be careful with the flower girl dress too.

my dress was diamond white and one of our flower girls wore white as well as my DH wore a white shirt. you could absolutely not tell the whites weren't the same in the pics and you really couldn't even tell in person. a white flower girl dress will be fine with your dress!!

ETA: your dress is amazing, btw!

I think with the silk white, the white white will be super obvious. Can you go with a color for the FG instead? Then you don't have to match the colors.

How about asking for a swatch of the FG white and comparing it to your dress' white? Then you can see for yourself!

I dont think ivory would look bad on teh FG at all. Naybe do a colored flower girl dress that way you dont have to worry about clashing at all!!!

My BM dresses are gold and they have red BO-K's and my Jr. BM's have red dresses with ivory kissing balls. I'm afraid to add another color in the mix.

I guess I have to find an ivory dress... I found this one for my 5.5 yr. old FG and this one for the 3 year old FG:

Only thing is one is Ivory and the other is light ivory since they are different brands- ahhhhh! They should just make one standard white and ivory.

Maybe I'll just order tham and see how the color is and if it's good I'll keep it.

What do you think of these? My BM dress looks like this:

my gown was ivory and my FG also wore an ivory dress. I think it would have been noticeable if she wore white next to my dress. I had a sash added around the waist of her dress to match the BM dresses. You could also get her a dress that is the same color as your BMs dresses, I've seen that done before.

It's going to be impossible to have an exact match even if your and the FG's wedding dress even if both were the same color (both ivory, both white, etc.).

FTR, do I personally notice variations in color? Yes, I do, but I don't think anything negative of it.

Quite honestly, I think this is one of the areas where perfectionistic tendencies are futile.

ETA--typo.

Thanks...it is going to be impossible for them to match in color! I have become a slave to pting details...I guess there will just have to be some things I'll let slide.

I'm no help in the color help, but I did want to mention that your dress is GORGEOUS!!!

Thanks, I love it too and it's worth all the problems of finding BM dresses to match it since I am so happy about it! ...and to update everyone- I called Kleinfeld's and I am going to request a sample of my dress's fabric. Even if I have to pay for it I need to know the color the dress is to make the best decision I can.
