wedding dress doubts??

I am ordering my dress tonight. I am going to a place that doesn't have the dress in stock as a sample, so they are just taking my measurements. ( i have tried on the dress elsewhere twice though)

is anyone afraid that they will order their dress, and by next year, they won't like it, or when it comes in they wont like it anymore? I am freakin out over here!

just venting I guess, but i wa wondering if anyone else had those same fears?!

If you have tried on the dress a few times and loved it enough to order then I say go for it! I think every bride thinks about this like what if another dress comes out in a few months and u want that one now.. I tried on about 8 gowns total and I put mine on and did NOT wanna take it off lol everyone's reaction to it closed the deal for me. I love it and I just don't even look at any other gowns anymore cause I love mine that much! Hope this helps you

That's exactly what I did...my found the sample gown @ RK Bridal in Manhattan and went to try the gown on three times.

But I specifically went to RK Bridal for that gown and fell in love with it..they were the only ones that had it. I ended up ordering my gown from Bridal Elegance in Huntington, and I just went there to order the dress and be measured..

I think you should be 100% sure about ordering your gown and you should feel that no matter what other gown come out that you still will LOVE yours....If you have to wait and think about it before ordering, then do that...better safe than sorry...and you still have some time..

I find the whole wedding dress process so strange so I totally see your point.

You love the dress that day - you try it on - you feel like a bride and all that mushy cr@p but then you dont see your dress for like a year later!! Until you really start to do fittings, so in reality its kinda scary.

It's not like purchasing most things - you buy it, you get it at that time.

So i totally understand your hesitation but dont confuse that with the love you have for the dress. The fit it had on you - the picture you have of your wedding day and how your dress fits into that.

thanks girls! It's jsut that... i didn't get THAT feeling with any of hte dresses I tried on (and i tried on over 30 lol) I got it with one - then went back to try it on again and hated it! how does that happen! lol

but i do really like this dress, I feel like it wont go out of style or anything like that within a year. i think thats more why i m having doubts - the fact that I didn't get THE feeling. I can see myself in it the day of though, definitely, so maybe I jstu won't get that feeling. but i m thinking that there has got to be a dress out there that will give me the mushy feeling lol

I dont think you need that feeling to know. If it has all the qualities you want then i think that is enough to seal the deal. It was for me. I just kept going back to it so obviously there was something with that dress.

I dont think its needed to have that feeling people talk about - everyone is different.

Don't worry. I didn't have the 'this is it' feeling. After i ordered my dress I cried for 2 nights because I thought I hated it and made a huge mistake. I even went and tried others on. I tried mine on again and feel in love all over againg.

I think it's totally normal to have dress doubts. I think it gave me the realization like 'holy crap, i am really getting married'

If you've tried it on several times and love it then you are fine. Picutre yourself ony our wedding day all done up, and the dress will be perfect!

I didn;t get the feeling either, but didn't expect to like you....i told the woman that i try on a million different outfits to go to work in and i can wear jeans and sneakers there!

I am very choosy about clothes, so to feel that one dress was the ONE, was just silly.....I kept looking at my dress saying that all the parts were perfect, so that's when i decided that it must be the gown for me

You dont HAVE to order it right now - go and try it on again, make sure that you LOVE it!!! Then order it right after that!!!! I'll go with you

don't worry ladies. i never got the feeling either and i feel weird telling people about that. most people just expect to have this feeling and if you don't its liek something is wrong with you.
i have doubts about my dress all the time. its not as form fitting as most of the girls on here pick out and wear but i liked it when i tried it on. now i second guess myself all the time

I never got that feeling either...sometimes I think people are making it up
