Wedding Dress Freakout??

Wedding Dress Freakout??

I'm not sure if this is normal, but I think I just experienced my first wedding dress freak out. All of a sudden I thought to myself, OMG what If it's not the right 'one!!'. I searched for my receipt to see what the return policy was (well, there isn't one). But then after just calming down and promising to stay away from wedding stuff for a while I felt better and remembered how I felt in the dress. I know it's the one. I just know i'm overwhelmed.

Please don't tell me I'm the only one who feels this way!

You are definitely not the only one! Lol, I've heard it happens to everyone. If you took pictures, go back and look at them when you're not in freak out mode. You'll fall in love all over again.

Yes it's very normal. Just remember the way you felt when you saw yourself in the mirror and said, 'This it!'

I've had deposits on 3 different dresses...we watch all these bridal shows that put the stress on us to be brought to tears when you find the right dress. I did make the right decision by not getting the first 2 and I do love the dress I have now and it looks great and makes me feel great but by no means was I brought to tears. I think everyone is different and if you honestly feel beautiful in the dress you made the right decision.

i feel like this like once a month lol- it sucks to not be able to see the dress and remember how much you liked it, and it's so difficult to try to remind yourself why you picked it in the first place. I have a pic of my dress that I love so I just keep looking at it to remind myself... i just can't wait until my first fitting in march

You're 1000000% not alone lol! I went through the sameeeee thing. like panic attack. Like the above said, it's sooo different now with all these dress shows we watch. I want everything to be perfect so I flip out! It's hard, you want to make the right decisions for such a big day.

I actually went to BR in massapequa and tried on 4 dresses. I went to princess bridals and put a deposit down on a dress. I flipped out and kept thinking about the 1st dress I tried on at BR .. I ended up switching for the dress I loved at Bridal Reflections! (and I wish I would have went back to BR but I already had the deposit at princess so i had to buy there) phewww long story!!!

I had serious dress regret & anxiety, started literally 5 minutes after I bought the dress. In my case, I wound up buying a new one.

Just try to relax and remember why you loved it! If you don't love it, then you can freak out.

I felt like that and then tried it on again later that week. The second time around confirmed why I fell in love with it. My mom tearing up when I walked out also helped cement that decision, lol.

I went through the same thing with my first dress. I knew something wasn't right. I ended up buying a second dress and haven't had regrets since! It is very normal to have those feelings :)
