Wedding dress help!!

Hello all! Congratulations on your engagements! I am extremely excited to start planning my special day as I just have become engaged.

Okay, so I haven't gone dress shopping (still planning a date) but I was wondering if anyone has any suggestions on a specific dress type to fit my silhouette. I am 4'11 and 115 pounds. More busty on top (34C) and straight down the line. I want to appear taller and being at my size- I know that will be a difficult feat. All suggestions are welcomed!

I'm basically the same exact height/weight/shape and I had a hard time with any dresses that weren't fit n flare/mermaid. Everything else was just way too much dress.

I have a similar body type to you except smaller bazumbas lol. I'm nervous about this as well. I loooove the look of empire waisted ballgowns, but I'm afraid they'll make me look even shorter than I am and the dress will be wearing me instead of the other way around.

I fit that description more or less... I went for an A-line. I feel like it does make me look taller.

I think they say that column/sheath dresses are good if you're petite and want to look taller.

I'm also petite and very straight all over lol. I would say a drop waisted A line gave me the best shape but I ended up going with a fit and flare/trumpet because Ioved the dress so much! Ballgowns were just out of the question, they were way too much dress!

I'm pretty much in the same boat as you. I found that I liked fit and flares because anything with too big of a bottom looked ridiculous on me. The sheath dresses and some slim A lines also looked good but only the A lines that didn't come out too much. The people in the bridal stores are a huge help but be prepared for all of the dresses to be clipped and you never see the back on them

Oh, I also found that belts made me look shorter! They cut me off in the middle and just did not look good on me at all. My dress allowed for a continuous line of sight and made me look taller!!!

same here...no sash or belt because that reason...
I am 5'5 about 125 and I find the a-line and the puffy dresses eat me up and its all dress so I did a mermaid type but didn't flare out at the bottom more up top a little and not a big flare if that makes any sense lol

I'm about the same weight but no boobs and I'm 5'2. I went with a ball gown and love it. I couldn't move in the fit and flares. I have pictures in my album.
