I dont know anyone myself, but have you gone to older italian neighborhoods? YEARS ago (literally like 30 years lol) my mom had her dress made by a seamstress in old Spanish harlem and her best friend had hers made in Little Italy. They were both inspired by designer kleinfeld gowns. In those neighborhoods you often find older women who have sewn all their lives-seamstresses who worked in factories, etc. Try the tailor shops-look in the phonebook in that area and then try calling..shoot whats that called> better business bureau?(Someone help me out!) to see if they are reputable.
