Wedding dress preservation

Wedding dress preservation

Can anyone suggest a place in or close to Massapequa to preserve my dress?

Also - I read some very old threads about dress preservation where they mentioned that they got all the stains out of the dress. How do you know? I thought when you preserve it, it gets sealed and you are not allowed to open it.
Thanks,
Christine

I used wedclean.

They encourage you to open and inspect your gown when you get it back. They also tell you to open it and refold it once a year because folded fabric will deteriorate over time.

I paid for the lowest amount of insurance because I googled my gown and saw that it was available on clearance (it got discontinued) for $400.

So, I think the lowest insurance was $500 and that's what I got.
