Okay, my wedding is set for September of 2011. I'm currently on a major diet to lose weight and look stunning for my big day. I'm worried about looking for a gown too early, buying and then being stuck. I lost 15pds in a month so my weight is going down steadily so my question is:
Is looking for a gown and buying in November 2010 TOO late?
I'm worried about me finding a dress and it not being ready in time for the big day. Tell me your thoughts as far as timing goes.(I'm trying to wait until the very last to buy my gown but also allowing me enough time to have my gown in time.)

When my freind ordered her dress they told her it takes 8 months to come in, but they also told her that you can order it wih express shipping to get it there quicker than that.

not at all... I am not planning on ordering my dress until I am like 8-12 months out.
and my FSIL just order her dress for her May 2010 wedding last month. You have plenty of time!

I think that'll be plenty of time. I'm sort of trying to do the same thing. I starting looking at dresses. I think I might have actually found the ONE today.... anyway at RK Bridal I was told they need 6 months to get the dress in and for alterations so that's def enough time.

i think thats plenty of time too! I am not going shopping till 10-12 months b4 and if i know myself its gonna take me a while to pick one.... I am sure you will have plenty of time

my dress store also told me 8 month to come in... i think Nov 2010 is just fine!

I think that's plenty of time. I ordered my dress and it took 4 months to come in.

I'm getting married one month after you I don't plan on even begining to look for a dress until this time next year so i will be 11-12 months out from my wedding date. I personally feel like any sooner thatn that and i'm setting myself up for disaster-what if i loose weight; what if I find something i like better all the 'what if's '
I think you'll have plenty of time if you wait until November 2010
