wedding dress question

I really love the Alfred Angelo line, but don't want to limit myself. I would rather go to one of the smaller shops, than start at Davids Bridal since I have heard mixed things about them. I found stores that carry Alfred A. Has anyone gotten dresses at Angel Bridal (E. Islip), Renate's Boutique (Lindenhurst), Beautiful Bride (Lynbrook). I also want to look at Lillette's, but I recently heard no matter when you order your dress, it doesn't come in til 6 weeks before the wedding.
Can anyone suggest a line similar to Alfred Angelo that is within the same price range?

I don't have any info on any of those salons, but I'd suggest:

W Too/Watters
Maggie Sottero

I got my dress at RK Bridal. They carried all of those lines.

If you aren't sure what looks good on you, it might be good to start at a place like David's Bridal, just to try on shapes etc. I went to a bridal salon near my house that was closing, just to try on different styles. It definitely made my 'actual' dress search easier.
