Wedding Dress Shopping

I'm going to my first wedding dress shopping trip on Saturday and I'm SOOO nervous!!

What can i expect? ANy tips on what I should wear there, what I should look for, anything else?

You'll have fun. Try to wear the right bra--I wore a normal bra and the lady gave me one to wear to try on stuff.

You should also come in with some styles in mind because they ask you, but definitely be open because you never know. Move around in the dress a little to see how it really fits. If you don't like a dress, then you don't--don't get down if you don't find one right away.

And more importantly--have fun!

Bring a strapless bra and make sure you wear regular underwear. Most likely the saleswoman will have to help you get dressed and it's kind of embarrassing if you have thongs on. Most importantly, go with an open mind. Try on as many dresses as you can and have fun!!!

You can wear whatever. I sugegst a strapless bra, but if you dont have one they will lend you one. Plus bring a hair scrunchie if you plan on having an updo for your wedding so you can put your hair up.

I've heard that sizes are totally off from what regular sizes are too...is that true?

I'm going to Wedding Salon in Manhasset this weekend...maybe another place too...Any suggestions????

have fun. and don't let the salesperson put ideas in your head. if you don't like it, you don't like it. your are boss, not the salesperson. i've noticed that dress sales ppl can be very pushy and make you like something that you don't.

Prepare yourself to be in your underwear in front of complete strangers, that was one part I was not ready for. But you get used to it after the first couple of gowns.

That is true about the sizes. I normally wear a 6 but when they told me they needed to order me a 10 I almost cried.

Definilty, i wasnt prepared either and they just prance on in you dressing room and are like put your handsup so they can put the dress over your head.
