My wedding is in September and I am having wedding dress anxiety! I've been to about 5+ stores and still can't find anything I LOVE-- a bunch of pretty dresses-- but nothing that I have to have. What's wrong with me??? Can anyone recommend stores in NYC (except Kleinfelds)-- or close to?!
Thanks!

Re: Wedding Dress SOS
I bought my dress at David's Bridal in Westbury, NY. They were great. I tried on a ton of dresses everystyle you can imagine and then found my dream dress and I felt like a Princess.
David's Bridal has every type of dress you can imagine....at reasonable prices. They don't rush and don't care how many your try on.

Re: Wedding Dress SOS
Have you picked a certain style that you like? Or are you just diving in and trying on whatever looks pretty???
If you have narrowed it down , and you know what you want . Maybe you should go online and look, and then once you have a bunch of ideas go to the salons and try them on and just cross off all the things you don't like until you finally come to find what you do?

Make sure you go to all the bridal reflection locations. I LOVED the one in Carle Place and NYC.

Re: Wedding Dress SOS
I got mine at Bridal Reflections in Massapequa and I had a great experience.
I also liked the Wedding Salon but a lot of their dresses are more expensive.

Re: Wedding Dress SOS
I got my dress at Wedding Atelier -- so far a really good experience.
Also try Saks on 5th ave, they apparently have a great wedding dress department.

Re: Wedding Dress SOS
Don't stress.... I was in the same situation this summer. I went to so many store and kept going back to them (probably trying on at least 50 dresses). It might take a while but when you find the one you will just know it. When I found my dress they had just put it in the window and it was my third time going back to the same place. Just by looking at it I knew it was the one (even though I had to fight with them to take it out of the window...but thats another story) Once I put it on I feel in love with it!!!
But dont stress out, just have fun going to all the different stores and trying on the dresses!!

Re: Wedding Dress SOS
well I bought mine at kleinfelds and it was the only place I went to. They have 1500 samples in the store so hopefully you find something there. Is there any designer in particular you're interested in?
My friend bought her dress at Designer loft in the city, they had beautiful dresses but not as big of a selection.
Also what about Amsale? They also have Kenneth pool dresses there bc Amsale started the kenneth pool line. But then again i bought my KP dress at kleinfelds and also was able to try on other designers too. But if you know you would want an amsale or KP dress, then you can also check amsale

Re: Wedding Dress SOS
WOW! I posted this yesterday and noone really responded-- so I thought well I guess I am the only one with this problem... so thank you!!!
I am leaning toward the trumpet/fit to flare silhouette... but alot of them look so simple that I almost don't feel like a bride. I don't drive so its hard for me to go to any wedding stores without the FH! I have tried Bridal Reflections and saw two nice dresses but again didn't have that WOW reaction! I am going to wedding atelier and David's Bridal. Part of me is nervous that David's won't really have the unique/rich look I am going for. I have Kleinfeld's fri too!
Thanks for all of your help! Keep the tips coming so I don't freak out!

if you're going into the city, you can always take trains to go to these stores. Trust me its better off, the first time i drove to kleinfelds i had to pay to park it in a garage bc there was just no parking anywhere.

Re: Wedding Dress SOS
I got my dress at Bridal Couture of Manhasset - they have a good selection and wonderful customer service. Ask for Darlene or Anne.
