Wedding dress storage

I have to go pick up my wedding gown and bring it to my mother's house for storing. She said the only place she can put it is upstairs in the attic. The attic has no air conditioning - and it gets like 100 degrees in the summer. I need to store it there until November of this year. Do you think the heat will be a problem for this dress? I dont know what to do. And I have nowhere else to store it....

I think I will use lollipops too- to bribe the kids to stick around. Now, what to do for the adults? I **KNOW**that they will want to go the the CH. too bad, they will wait the 15 min to take pics with us then go eat. ( Sorry- I know that this sounds selfish- but I really mean it tongue in cheek!!) we will have our own attendant providing us with drinks adn snacks. maybe this will also help to lure the few guests to stick around for pics.

Some cleaners have storage facility available, sometimes for free if you got it cleaned there, others for very little money per month. Maybe you could store it at the place who cleaned it until November

Wedding dress storage

I put a hook on the back of my spare bedroom (apartment) door to hold my dress out of the way. It was a $1.79 investment well spent to have my dress out of the way and hanging up, yet still in the home!

Thanks Glory: I have a terribly small apt. and I live with my fiance. We have no spare doors..and we live in a basement apt. (musty).. Maybe I can talk my mother into letting me put it in the back of her closet. If she loved me..shed do it..right?

Judy, you sound so positive despite all the hardships you've listed...you ARE brave!!! Enjoy your special day, and I look very forward to your posted pictures...Hawaii was a wise choice!!!
