Wedding dresses

Okay may sound like a silly question but I have to ask. When I look online at wedding dresses it seems like 99% of the dresses are stapless. In your searched for your dress did you find there were some dresses with sleeves (not like sleeve sleeves but straps). Im not sure how I feel about strapless.....I havent even started to look yet

Sooooo many are strapless. I looked around a lot and most places said they could add straps or sleeves if I wanted. I found a v-neck I liked though and got it. Here it is:

Re: Wedding dresses

when i was looking it definitely seemed like dresses with straps and sleeves were far and few between. Many dresses can have them added though...I know its hard to get the full effect though. I did wind up with a strapless (pic in my album)

many of the dresses are strapless, but, a lot of designers will let you add straps to their dresses if you want to. It would mostly be spaghetti straps but you might be able to get thicker ones depending on the designer. That's what i was told when i went dress shopping.

Re: Wedding dresses

That was my least favorite part of this wedding planning, argh! Having all the salepeople tell you that you can make alterations to a $3000 dress! They are definitely few & far between, I looked alot on theknot.com so see what designers had some other options and decided to look for those trunk shows.
I've been seeing more non-stapless lately so maybe they are coming back in :)
I ended up getting a Jim Hjelm with cap sleeves, love it!

Good luck in your search!

i know that jasmine does changes to their dresses to your specifications, not sure how it all works but i seen on their website that if you find a dress of theirs that you like they will do what they can to make it the dress of your dreams

It's such a PITA that so many dresses are strapless, but if you look hard enough you will find a great strapped or sleeved dress. Promise.

Re: Wedding dresses

I ended up going with strapless, but a lot of the strapless ones that I tried on had spaghetti straps that you could have added or removed. If you want to trek into Manhattan, definitely try RK Bridal- they have tons of dresses in every style- lots of sleeves and straps, too!

Re: Wedding dresses

Strapless is very popular right now and so that's what a lot of designers are showing. However, it's just not right for me and so I was dead-set on getting a halter. This is my dress, it's by Demetrios!!
