Wedding Dresses

Girls - do you have any suggestions of place to go wedding dress shopping (for my friend)? Please read below and dont just name the place you got your dress.

Please take this into consideration...we need a large selection and 'different' kind of dresses. Not your everyday poof, but mermaid styles, ruffles, etc.

Thx.

I would def recommend Helen's Bridal in Commack...they have a great selection, the staff is amazing and the samples are even in 'normal people' sizes!!!!

Try RK Bridal in manhattan.

I know everybody probably says this, but seriously consider Davids Bridal. They have a HUGE selection of almost every style and any size. Before just heading out though, you can go onto DavidsBridal.com and check out the dresses there. Your friend can easily get online and see if she even likes any of those styles and prices before heading out to a store (and maybe even wasting her time).

I did not get my dress there but I loved the selection at 'The Wedding Salon' in Manhasset. Beautiful shapes, etc. They were pricey though.

The lighting is great and they had many dresses I did not see elsewhere.

try Wedding Atelier in Manhattan. They have a nice spread in prices and lots of different types of dresses (I got a lacy dress with virtually no train, but they also carry poofy stuff, more beach stuff, straight dresses, more artsy/decorated -- smaller store but good selection). I think it is by appointment only. I got my dress there so feel free to FM me with questions.

Good customer service so far too - my consultant just left on maternity leave, and will probably still be out when my dress arrives, so they called me to let me know as a heads up and to tell me who else could help me while she is out -- very friendly of them and totally not required!

Also, Priscilla of Boston. The Melissa Sweet dresses are some of my faves.

I got mine at Paradise Bridal in Patchogue, they had a lot of different types of styles, and I worked with Donna who was so amazingly helpful! I would recommend Donna and Paradise Bridal to everyone! Good Luck!
