wedding dresses

Is it too early to start lookin at wedding dresses if your not gettin married until oct 2010.. whens the best time to start lookin a year out? do people usually go right away? thx

i bought mine! and im in love with it! but i want to get everything out of the way and leave the last year for hosue hunting and furnishing it!!

yeah theres nothing wrong with just trying them on.

i am gonna start looking 1 year before and hopefully buy my dress no later than 9 mths before.

Its not too early. I was looking at them last year at this time and Im getting married July 2010.

you can try some on to get a sense of what you like/don't like for when you seriously start to look. i already ruled out puffy dresses on me, because they look nice in pics, but once i put one on.... errr.. no thanks lol.

you plan on buying a designer dress, i would start looking about 16 months before, they take longer to come in.

i am an october bride also, and i am going to start looking around sept (online only, to get an idea) then start shopping about october (a year before)

I started looking online as soon as I got engaged last Aug and went to try some on in November. This way I had an idea what looked good on me. I probably wont start really looking till the summer and hoping I can order it by October

I am getting married in april of 2010 and I am starting to look for gowns! you can start any time but you must know this after you get a gown!! you have to be sure sure sure and they advise that you don't look at other dresses because it will confuse you

Are you kidding, there is no reason to not look now. I am getting married in May 2010 and had my first appointment at Kleinfeld in October 2008 (we were engaged at the end of September). I personally found that it took a while to find THE dress and you will know when you are wearing THE dress. I found THE dress about a month ago...but am not planning on ordering it for at least a few more months...hitting the gym in the meantime! :)
