Wedding expo

Anyone going to the wedding expo tomorrow at the Uniondale Marriott?

I'm so new to this - is the purpose of going to expos just to find your vendors or is there more to it? I've been getting emails about upcoming expos but I don't know if they're worth it!

I think its mainly to meet vendors, but this is my first one and its free so I'm gonna check it out. Plus you can win prizes!

I went to the one last year but I had to leave early for a party and missed the showcases and prizes. Maybe I'll go solo this year, I still need vendors and winning a prize wouldn't hurt either

Went to an expo at Larkfield Manor and won $600 towards a light package, so after that I've wanted to go to every expo I see. Work doesn't always cooperate, however...

I thought it was good, but wasn't impressed with The Wedding Center. The owner was putting me to sleep. Sounds like they are very nice people, but I enjoyed the entertainment better and wished the explanation of the gowns and trip went a little quicker.
All in all I now know what to expect and I'm excited for the next one.

BTW, I saw some girls with stickers premade with all their contact information on it... so you don't have to keep completing the forms at all the vendors you visit. I like that idea!

I thought it was pretty good. I really liked LI Sound, wonder how expensive they are. It was also nice to see and feel invites in person, instead of just online.
Btw, if you 'won' on the scratch offs, read the fine print..its for a timeshare.
