I'm being really particular about the TYPE of favor I want... but don't really know what I want.
I wan't something people will use. Someone when they use it in front of someone they'll be like, oh, that's cute, where'd you get it?
Items I MIGHT have used were Wine stoppers, wine charms, cake servers or ice cream scoops. But noooooo, FH's family is a PITA and used all these things already.
We decided against a donation. We also don't want anything purely ornamental (candles, picture frames, candy dishes)
We don't want edibles because we're getting married at Russo's with soooooo much food and VH with boxes they can use to take dessert home if they don't want it right then... maybe we should give out doses of Prilosec as the favor?
Anyway, I saw this and thought it fit my criteria... maybe not THIS one if I find something prettier, but along these lines...
That is a really cute idea!! I recently came across an adorable pizza cutter that I'm hinting for my mom to give as a favor for my shower lol. I love practical favors!!
I was considering these but they might be too Italian for your taste. My mom is really pushing this too lol. My FH isn't Italian and I don't think he even knows that you put espresso in a different cup than regular coffee, so it might not work out lol.

Totally not too Italian for me. But FH hates coffee, haha, so I considered this cause I love it but it just didn't seem right.
The Pizza cutter (a stainless steel one with a handle or the cute one with no handle with the white plastic grip) is a top contender as well. But I think I like the pasta server a little more?

IDK, I guess I have to ask FH what he thinks. But at least I have some contenders now!

I was thinking wine recently.. seems classy and useful. But i dont like the idea of usefull only one time!

I was thinking about wine (or doing a home brew like another LIW bride did - i forget who now), but there are a couple of recovering alcoholics in my family so even though the wedding will have lots of alcohol, there's no reason why they should have to take it home with them. That's just my scenario though.
