so we wanted fireworks, turns out itd be 10 grand! they'd have to go as far as to close off part of ocean parkway to allow it. cute idea, definitely not in budget

Re: wedding fireworks
I was at a wedding where they took a bunch of sparklers tied them with ribbons in her colors ( black and white gingham and hot pink). She then put them in a bucket of sand and poked them out and also had custom match boxes... The pics came out AMAZING!! and its more personal for the guests!

so the guests would just pick them up and use the custom matches to light them? that might be cute. my FH is trying to convince me that we should tie them to balloons, then light the sparkler and set the balloon free. he's not grasping the fact that helium is highly flammable, lol

haha that and a fire hazard if they land on trees , etc!
yes they had all the buckets set on cocktail tables on the terrace and after dessert people went out as they pleased and lit them, it looks soooo pretty from the inside and in the pics the bride and her BMs all look like they are holding bouquets of fire.. it was soooo gorgeous... and they used the all silver ones ) not the color papper ones that change as they burn
