Wedding Flowers

Hi all,

I'm hoping someone can give me some advice.

I'm a British bride, coming over to New York to get married.

We are only there 4 days before the wedding, and i was wondering if that would give enough time to sort out flowers for the wedding. We don't want anything major, just a bridal boquet for myself, my 3 bridemaids, and buttonholes for the groomsmen.

I don't know if 4 days will be long enough, or if i'll have to contact a florist before we come out - what do you think?

Just to be safe, i would definitely contact a florist sooner than 4 days before your wedding. I'm sure it can be done, but I wouldn't risk it.

I think you should have an idea of what you want and contact a few florists before the day. Perhaps you can discuss the details over email and you can just go in when you arrive to see a sample. That way you will have peace of mind.

4 days will not be enough time unless you plan on picking the flowers yourself from the yard.

I think you should definitely contact them with an idea of what you are looking for, before. I know they only order flowers a week or so before, but 4 days seems like it's cutting it a little close.
