Hello all! We are looking for a great reception site for summer 2006 for 100 guests. As I'm sure a lot of you know, the minimums have eliminated a lot of places. Any sugestions on locations for a small wedding for a Friday night? We have a few on our list, but we want to make sure we look at all the possibilities. Thanks for any help!

Re: Wedding for 100
I loved where I got married. We had difficulty also because we were only having 70, but we found what was the perfect place for us. It is the Snuff Mill on the grounds of the botanical gardens in the Bronx. It is catered by Abigail Kirsch. If you want more info feel free to FM me.

I went to a wedding at the Nassau County Museum of Art which was perfect for a small affair. Beautiful grounds to have the ceremony (outdoor only I believe) and it's such a nice intimate location, something unique. I also like the Sans Souci.

For a fri night you may be able to negotiate a lower minimum. I found Stewart Manor Country Club and Hamlet Willow Creek to have minimums of 100. Good luck in your search!

My minimum was 100 for a Saturday afternoon at Timber Point--their Friday nights were also 100--Saturday night was either 150 or 175...It was beautiful there...

Vandebrilt Mansion in Oakdale, NY on the campus of Dowling College. Ballroom is perfect for 100 people. They recently changed their website so if you'd like to see additional pics i can send them to you or post them. Good Luck.

Re: Wedding for 100
Our room at the Swan club (the Contessa Room) had a minimum of 100 and I think the Milleridge Carriage House has a minimum of 70 or 75.

Re: Wedding for 100
Thanks again for all the responces, and keep them comming if you have any other input. We have looked a few of these places, and one thing that we want is a facility that only holds one wedding at a time. Thanks for the input we wish everyone luck!!

I'm not sure of the minimums... but Meadow Club has two smaller rooms that would probably accomadate you... For a Sunday afternoon in the bigger room it's 135... I would imagine it's around 100 in the smaller rooms...

Re: Wedding for 100
I said before that the Milleridge Carriage House is lower than 100 min. and although there could be a wedding in the cottage, they are completely seperate buildings, so I think that might work for you. Stewart Manor is one wedding at a time.
You also might want to check Sans Souci- they do one wedding at a time and their min. might be 100 (I can't remember)

Re: Wedding for 100
I had a guarantee of 85 on a Friday night on October 1 at Timber Point Country Club.
I had a beautiful day. The weather was perfect for the outside ceremony and cocktail hour.
ETS - TP has one wedding at a time. That was important to us.
