wedding gift?

so my shower invites went out last weekend and someone already bought our china off of it! we thought it was someone really on top of things that's coming to the shower but fh said it was delivered today and it's from my uncle... he's not married so no invitation was sent to his house , and his daughters were invited but they're in their late 20s and don't live with him.

it's a wedding gift right? not a shower gift?
