Wedding gift

Wedding gift

Sent a wedding gift to a friend the end of April (to her mother's home b/c that's where the RSVP was to go). UPS said it was delivered, but I never got a thank you card from her. We didn't go to the wedding b/c I really couldn't afford to go.

Wedding was 5/1. Should I ask her if she got it? Haven't really spoken to her since the wedding.

Re: Wedding gift

If UPS said she got it, I'd wait for a thank you card. The wedding was only 5/1. I know by the time we got home from the HM, picked our TY card, had it ordered and I got them written out it was just about 4 months.

Re: Wedding gift

I am finding alot of this stuff lately...I think some people wait months to thank people...I personally don't care for that. Not just for weddings, but I have sent gifts for communions, b-days and stuff and no thank you...sometimes, late, but other times nada. I would ask. If you can go thru the trouble of shopping, and sending the least people can do is write a note... Big peeve of mine.

she may have not gotten her thank yous yet, some photographers take a while. she also may have forgotten if it wasn't part of the envelopes from the wedding

Re: Wedding gift

def give it time bec IMO not a lot of time passed yet. I think 3-4 months is normal --of course every situation is different but 3-4 months seems ok and shes almost at 3.
