Wedding gift for FH-has to be non-traditional

We weren't going to do them, but when he was shopping for my b-day he said he came across something he felt 'I just had to have'...so now I have to think of something GREAT. He's not a jewelry wearer, not a materialistic person, and not into the typical sentimental stuff.....I feel horrible if I get something that isn't materialistic in the sense that he won't have it to hold on to after the wedding. I was thinking of a weekend trip to Chicago for the Cubs opening day since he's a die hard Cubs fan. HE's also very into video games and works in the industry, so I was thinking of finding a full size arcade game from when we were kids for the arcade he wants to make in our house, when we get one! Does anyone ahve any feedback on my ideas or other ideas? Maybe a really nice watch inscribed with our wedding date and 'For all time', but I don't think that's enough and he's not into fancy stuff like that.

I think if I hadn't read the majority of your post, I'd have gone for hte watch.

But reading what you've written I think you've got all you need. A weekend away at Cubs Camp sounds great. It's not an everyday thing so it's special. A game system, as long as he can upkeep it, is also a great idea. A bit hard to hide from him but a really nice idea.

I think you're on the right track.
