My FH and I are going to a wedding soon for a friend/co-worker at Vineyard Caterers on a Saturday evening. Could you please give me ideas for an appropriate gift ($$$). THis is my first Saturday night wedding on LI.

There is no appropriate amount. I think as long as you get something you feel is nice and is an amount you can afford, they will appreciate it!

I have to be frank I would never give someone a gift off the registry for their wedding........... This is NY not the south....... Give $$$$ I would give $250-300

Give what you can afford! If you can afford $200, give that, if you can afford $300, then give that!

we are definitely giving money. It's looking like the consensus is somewhere between $200-$300, maybe $250?

My FMIL usually says $125 per person is the minimium for a wedding gift. So I'd say around $250. But, as everyone said, don't give more than you can!
