Wedding Gifts

To anyone that had their wedding already,

I just got married on Saturday and I'm wondering about what to do with all the checks we got. Is it too soon to cash them now? We do not need the money ASAP its going to savings but I hate the thought of having the checks sit around since its alot of $ . i dont want people to think Im rushing to cash them at the bank if I do it this weekend. We are leaving this Tuesday for our HM so should I do it now or afterwards? People gave us checks so I'm assuming the money is in there when we cash it so should I be worried or just do it.

One congrats! Two we went to a wedding on a friday and sat they cashed the checks. I would do it soon only b/c so the peopel who wrote them dont bounce a future check!

Congrats! I agree! We plan on cashing our checks the Monday after our wedding. I think people expect that you will do it asap...they are waiting for the money to come out of their account. We are also doing a 2 week honeymoon so we really don't want people to wait a long time to cash them. I had some friends who wrote checks for a wedding and it took months for them to cash the checks! So I would say do it as soon as you can!
