Wedding Gifts for Each Other? Just curious...

Did you and your FH/DH exchange wedding gifts? I'm asking because FH asked me a couple of times what I would like and I don't have the slightest clue what to tell him. Did you ladies exchange gifts or plan to exchange them? Thanks!

I bought him a wedding gift before he proposed. I did not expect him to get me anything, but over the weekend he casually mentioned that he had, and that he hoped I liked it. I'm very very scared!!

We're not exchanging gifts. I did get him skis for our engagement though.

no, we did not. We were originally going to, but then when we thought about it we decided it was a waste of money. We were spending so much money on the wedding, it was silly to get each other a gift for the wedding, after all we were getting each other!
I did get him a card though.

Well, I didnt think we were...but then the the morning of, flowers, a card and a present was delivered for me..It was also our 8th year anniverary, so that might have something to do w/it....

He got me diamond studs-sort of look like flowers-they are really pretty.

I completely forgot, so when we came back from HM i got him a home theatre sound system....

Theresa, we didn't exchange wedding gifts per se. BUT while we were on our HM we bought each other some very nice things and we're calling those our gifts to each other. It was nice bc it gave us something we didn't have to stress over beforehand, instead we were able to have some fun shopping for each other and we each got to have a say/pick out our own gifts.

I'm making FH a scrapbook. I'm also getting him a video camera for the HM and locket cufflinks to put photos of our grandfathers in so they can be with us on our big day.

We weren't going to exchange gifts but decided to in the end. He paid the balance of my wedding day earrings. I gave him my grandfather's cufflinks and surprised him with a cigar roller at the wedding.

We paid for the wedding ourselves and our gift to each other was the HM, which we totally splurged on......first class airfare, butler suite with private pool, etc.

We decided not to because we are already spending so much money. Instead we are writing eachother letters that we will open the day of while getting ready for the big day.

We originally decided we wouldn't, but changed our minds at the last minute (mostly because I found out that my DH was planning on giving me something).

My DH got a watch, I got a pearl bracelet...but the most special part about the whole thing was the cards we gave one another. I don't think gifts are necessary, but a nice little surprise (even in the form of a card or a note) is a very nice thing to do.
