Wedding gown and head peice I almost just freaked: UPDATE !!

So I called my Bridal shop because they said my gown would be in in october. So when I didn't get a call I wanted to make sure it was actually ordered. ...so I call and they say they delayed it so it wouldn't sit around that long....ok fine probably just what they say to keep early brides from getting mad, it will 'be in ' December .....then I ask about my headpeice, and she goes 'you ordered one' and I nearly went off on her, i reply ' Yes a custom order' ....then she realized she didn't know what she was talking about and the manager is calling me back ....ugh.....

Ok So I smoke with the manager today, I had to call there twice to get anywhere with them, My dress is ready to ship as well as my headpeice... however when I was transferred to the bridemaid section to ask about a specific style and if they had the sample I was told they didn't have it and couldn't get it, she said I can buy it and thats it . . .

Ohhh that stinks. Hopefully the manager will straighten everything out. Maybe the order for the headpeice is seperate from the dress.

yea i called my mom and thats what she thinks, and I ordered the headpeice that far in advance because she told me it might not be available anymore when the dress comes in

I'm not going to say , because I didn't talk to the manager yet but, if there is a problem I will let you guys know

Good luck. Most of the time the managers will be able to take care of these types of problems so that everything works out okay.

that sound like my place that i went too. Im going through the same thing and im still waiting for my dress. Frist she told me that it will be here aug, then sept. then oct, now it is jan, Im so mad and i ordered it back in Apirl and i paid in full. Who is the designer? Also where is the place that you went tooo>

I wouldn't worry. You still have 11 months until your wedding. You are way ahead of schedule. I'm getting married in September and haven't even started dress shopping!

I totally understand your frustration BUT, definitely take a deep breath and don't worry--you have plenty of time for your dress!!!!

I'm getting married in February and my dress still hasn't come in. I'm only NOW starting to freak a little hehe

i agree, you have PLENTY of time. you dont want your dress hanging around for that long anyways. dont stress about the dress yet, but definetly make sure they at least ordered the veil!

Don't worry, you have plenty of time, but it is just annoying when people don't know what they are talking about and cause you to panic.... my dress won't be in for months and months and i am an Oct. bride too.

I am so sorry you have to deal with this, but my suggestion is definatly keep on top of them! That happened with the first dress I ordered I ended up waiting 9 months and it never came in!! Turns out it was never even ordered the first time!! I ordered another dress from a different place 6 months ago and its not in yet and my wedding is the first week in January! So just a word to the wise stay on top of them!!
