Wedding Gown Shopping

Hey guys

I still havent gone dress shopping but would love to ASAP...I have been so busy with work and grad school that i have not had time to look for dresses!!! I just have a quick question


How long do you get to pick and try on dresses? is there a limit? if so can you tell me which places limit it to an hour or hour and a half....just wondering because when i book the appt I want to know how long I get!! Any info would be greatly appreciated!

I haven't started shopping yet either. I would like to lose a few more pounds before I start. :) I am thinking like a year in advance.

I have been to several places, withhout appts...and had no problem...but i have gone during the week...places are usually dead then & you can stop in without an issue...if you can go during the week I would suggest that.

If you go on a weekend try and book an appt...i have never been told 'you have this much time'...but usually end up spending an hour - 1 1/2 at each place..when you make the appt ask if there is a limit.

Even on weekends I've just stopped in without an appt and lucked out...but i think that is rare?

Dress shopping is the fun part! Trying to pick just one is the hard part ;) Hope this helped...good luck!

I was going to post something very similar to this question. I was just looking for recommendations on locations that have a large selection. I have 10 bridesmaids and we are all going shopping the day after my engagement party. I figured with that many girls, i'm going to need a good selection...

Do you have any places with a large selection of different types of dresses that you could recommend??

Do you know of any dress locations that offer larger sizes of gowns to try on. Almost all of my bridesmaids are below a 12, but I would really like everyone to be able to try on the type of dress to atleast see how it falls.
