Wedding gown stores...
I know this has been asked over and over. But I need to ask this question. Since I'm unable to find a wedding dress here in North Carolina, I'll need to get it up on Long Island. I need recommendations on Bridal Gown stores. I was looking for a dress with Platinum/Silver in it. I've also been trying on white dresses but haven't had any luck. So, any place that has a big selection that I can try on. I've already been to David's Bridal here so anywhere else would be helpful. Thanks so much!

Try: Macy's in Manhassat, Lillets in Baldwin (I'm using GERI), Bridal Reflections (Carle Place and Massapequa). Are you looking in Nassau or Suffolk? You do need to make appointments with these places to try on gowns. GOOD LUCK!

It depends on your budget... Bridal suite in centereach is good and I think reasonable Also Macy at smithhaven or roosevelt field or wedding salon of manhasset..a bit more expensive

POST YOUR BUDGET...
if your budget is in line with David's Bridal then those will be totally different stores than high end couture shops.

RE: Budget...
Well, I can't spend more than $1,000. We can barely afford that. So yeah, we can't go to the couture shops. I'll go to Nassau or Suffolk. Preferably Suffolk since that's where my mom lives, but I'm desperate at this point. Thanks!

Stay away from Patchogue Bridal Suite
If you are looking in Suffolk do not got to Patchogue Bridal Suite. While my initial experiences with them were good, however things seem to change and their service has gone way downhill. My maid of honor dress was altered incorrectly and it was so bad that the dress ended up ripping apart during the reception. My dress was not totally hemmed when I went for my final fitting(where I was made to wait almost 1 1/2 hours before I got my dress on) and the lining ended up longer than the rest of my dress. I ended up tripping on it and ripping it during the wedding. I am so disgusted with them that I would not recommend them to anyone.

Bridal Suite- Centerreach is wonderful!!!
Also, you do not have the accept the quote that the store gives you for the dress. You can negotiate a better price. If your BMs are from LI have them get their dresses at the same place you are. That gives you more bargin power. Ask for Debbie at Bridal Suite in Centereach. She was great!! Get your headpiece on either eBay (people sell new ones) or at Patchogue Floral. I have heard wonderful things about both. And make sure you tell the sales rep your budget before trying on dresses.Macy's Smithtown had a lot of $800-$1200 dresses. The one in Roosevelt Field is probably higher end. Alfred Angelo is a wonderful designer. His dresses are in your price range. Good Luck!!

Bonaventure in Garden City
If you are willing to try Nassau, it is on Franklin Ave. I did not get my gown here, but they had many under $1000, and the service was excellent. They prefer that you make an appointment, and they are closed on Sunday if this makes a difference.Welcome New Vendors
