Re: Wedding Gown Swatch
i've heard stories of brides cutting out a swatch from the sample when the salons won't give it to them. (not that i condone that)
i actually forgot to order a swatch until after the dress came in, and the salegirl was nice enough to cut me a swatch from that large piece they keep in store to show the different fabric colors they have.

Re: Wedding Gown Swatch
When I ordered my gown I asked about a swatch and they said they would order it and it would take 3 weeks. I checked in about a month later and everyone in the store was confused and finally told me one person is in charge of swatches and would call me back the next day. That was a week and a half ago and I have't heard a thing. Oh, sorry, I meant to try to be helpful but I guess I am just venting!

Re: Wedding Gown Swatch
I did not and I also did not get a good pic of my dress. I just called today to have a swatch and hardcopy pic of the dress sent to me. They said it would take a few weeks...
Hope I get it....I ordered a veil online and would hate it if it did not match.

Re: Wedding Gown Swatch
I had the seamstress cut a swatch from my dress. Dye lots can vary from the slightest shade of white.

They said they couldn't order me one, so they cut their swatch that they had and mailed it to me.

I requested one, I was orignally told most places will not provide a swatch but I pushed for it and eventually got it.

Re: Wedding Gown Swatch
I didn't get a swatch, they gave me the spaghetti straps that came in with the dress to match my shoes against.

Re: Wedding Gown Swatch
my salon said i can't get a swatch until my first fitting, which of course is too late to match shoes b/c i need the shoes before they'll do my fitting.

you can always get dyable shoes that you buy and then bring back to have them dyed once you have the swatch
