Ok so here is my question...im such a pain int he a s s but I am so torn over this dress...I am just afraid to make the wrong choice...
How much do you think bridal style will change over the next 2 years...i mean if i got that dress do you think in 2 years it will be considered 'out of style?' I just dont want to get it and in two years think 'Geez, they arent even showing dresses like this anymore!' But i guess ultimately, it doesnt matter...it should be about what i feel great wearing, right?
honestly, i think the 'caughtup' style is gonna stick around for a while... I really dont see it going anywhere in 2 yrs b/c like you, there are manyother girls shopping for gowns now for 09 and a ton right now LOVE that style so I think you should be fine... If it was more like 5 yrs away then I'd say... ehhh it might change

Thats what i thought too...its 'caught up enough' to be in that style, but not so much tht it will be horribly played out by then ya know?

The dress is beautiful, but be careful about buying so early. There are plenty of 07 and 08 girls who ended up buying a 2nd dress and trying to sell their first one b/c they fell in love with a different one at a later time. Couldn't you wait a while to order that dress so you can make sure you don't find anything else?
Sorry to crash I have just seen it happen to so many girls and it really is an inconvenience

The dress might be being discontinued this year and I have a gift cert for 100 dollars off thats why i wanted to buy now...

ask yourself this.. which is worse? buying the gown and havin to sell it b/c you came across something diff OR the gown becoming discontinued and left wonderin why the hell you didnt get it when you had the chance

Thats a good idea! I tell that to vin.... think about it for a week and if u still feel soo strongly about it after that time, then get it (you know how boys are with their toys!)

I really and truly dont think that dress will go out of style my only concern would be you changing your mind and falling in love with something else. I think you should do some serious looking around at dresses for the next week and if your heart is still set on that dress then you have your answer

I seriously NEVER thought I would but I did, I was all excited and went to try on dresses and ended up buying my dress early (last July...so it was 1 year and 10 months before my wedding) and then fell in love with another dress 2 months ago (hey at least it wasn't another FH ) and now I have 2...yes...2 dresses !!!

May I say something the $100 off is the way they try to make you but quick!!!! Take it from someone who always does sales and coupons!!! Just take the time and think about it, you have till the end of September right?

Your dress should be fine. The new wedding gowns for 2008 should be in. Maybe you can ask the store where you purchased your dress from about any new maggie sotteros

I don't think that 'caught-up' style is going anywhere..I don't think it was a 'trend'..the dress is absolutely beautiful!
I was thinking the same thing as you though, not so much will it be out of style but will I change my mind. At first I was going to get married in 08, but now we're planning for '09..and when I was trying on my dress I was like will I really still LOVE this next year?? lolz..
I think either way, if you love it go for it!!!
I personally would try to stick with something classic, so pictures always look good. But, if you happen to go with something ultra trendy..you'll always look back and say..'this WAS in style on my wedding day and was the hottest bride of my time!'..hehe

i'm still on the 'buy it early' train... i tried on a bajillion dresses that i loved, but only one gave me 'that' feeling... so i bought it. However, my style hardly ever changes, so i doubt there will be one that i like more. It could be different with you.

I don't think that it'll go out of style, but your style might change in two years. I wouldn't buy a dress yet, but that's JMO.

Its a beautiful dress lauren. I would love to start shopping for one, but I have the same concern as you do. I am afraid that the style will change over the next 2 years. But really, I dont think they will change drastically. I went to a wedding in 05 and she had a puffy princess-y dress and I still see women wearing them. I personally think that style is beautiful. Very magical looking.
So I think you should be ok. You're design is elegant and traditional.I think youre in good hands with it! so if you can... buy it!!
