Wedding Group One - highly recommended

I just picked up the proofs from our 'casual shoot' this weeekend and they are awesome! Tony our photographer has such a creative eye for composition the pictures look like they should be included in a magazine. Everyone is impressed with them and I'm definitely happy! Anyone looking for photographers that go beyond the traditional wedding pictures should check them out. If you check out their website you know exactly what I mean.

They're not cheap but I don't think they outrageously expensive either. They are comparable to the prices we got from Fine Are Photo and Cassarino. Grace Lee is the Manager in their Flushing office and she gave us a good deal.

I've also heard great things about this place and checked out their website. It looks great!! I saw that they offer other services. Are you using any other services besides the photography? How about videography?

We got a package which includes both photography and videograpy. Speak to Grace because depending on what time of year and day of week your wedding is, she can give you a great deal.

Wedding Group One - highly recommend..My feedback..VERY LONG

My feedback as a customer of theirs... I used them also and I am EXTREMELY HAPPY. (with a few 'buts' :) Tony was my photographer also. He is very patient, listens to what you want and yes, very creative eye. Like he saw a tree branch (weeping willow) and just told us to stand in a certain spot where he got a creative shot out of it. He also took several nice shots of just our centerpiece and other parts of the photo were dimmed out, a few photos of our hands holding (as we were at the altar), and in the middle of our hands you can get a glimpse of our parents watching.. VIDEO - We got our video. I am very happy with it, except for one or 2 things. The video footage of our honeymoon photos was not crispy clear.or should i just say 'quite blurry' I am tempted to say something about it, but they might just say 'thats the best we can do'... I just thought that in this day and age, it would be clearer. My husband has taken digital photos OF PHOTOS and they have come out incredible on our digital camera, so that kind of dissappointed me. Also, i was kind of dissapointed in the box the video was in. Sure, this is a minor issue, but i have see many friends and my siblings wedding video in a nice plastic box with a nice cover, well it just comes in an SKC black paper case that you can get in Genovese -the case that the blank tapes come in...(jeez, i figured at least KODAK., so that kind of bummed me..at least make the bride feel like you went that extra step...i think that small gesture of a nice box would not cost them much at all (I'm sure pennies!) and it would make you feel like you just got a special delivery. I felt like they just handed me last nights OPRAH episode...ya know...(hey i LOVEEEE OPRAH, that was no offense to her, shes my woman, 7pm ch 55, lol). So those 2 things bothered me. OK one more thing, when i went to 'approve' the album (they show you the layout before its bound. 2 things : 1) All the photos were in the wrong order, and this took me many late nights to lay out on my table and choose out. some obvious ones were like 'uhm, my father brought me down the aisle AND THEN we were at the altar.' I just didnt anticipate being there over 2 hours. I had planned being then for under an hour and had plans to be somewhere after that. As we all know picking our albums is something we take to heart and cant 'just do it' so i got very involved (i was very nice about it, its hard to be mean to them because they are so polite and dont get defensive, they are very courteous and cater to your needs....BUT...) i had to go thru these gigantic photos of what would soon be my album and put them in the right places. THEN...if i wanted this and that photo together one was color and one was B/W and this is where i'm glad i got his feedback (Jay). I wasnt even aware of that, that for instance the photos with the ripped edges effect looked better if they were side by side, and B/W photos should be near eachother. I was at the point that I offered to make them a handout to give brides to avoid this in the future !!! (keep in mind the layout of the album when you are picking your photos. He said that most brides just give them the photos and they choose the order. I know most of the order is common sense, but i had a few photos that I chose as the first or the last, or to be right after this or that... So i dealt with that ok. I got all worked up in the 2 hours of doing it. I felt the pressure all over again of getting it done... ALSO They had told me to pick up to 55 pictures. Well it came to the last day that i was choosing them, and i could NOT decide which of the 56 i had chosen to take out. So i asked Grace or Joann, and they said no problem. Since in their albums they use different ways of laying photos out. One page might have 2 photos on it of different sizes with different edges. Well as i was looking through the layouts (which by the way it was no help that i had to re-arrange these huge photos when i needed to lay them out to see the whole thing, as i had done at home....). anyway as u was looking at what would be our parents albums (we chose 5X7 albums) I saw some photos that i said 'hey i thought i chose that one for our album too, hmmm' then i said it like 3 times, and then Jay told us, 'oh we did not use all of the pictures you chose' They had use 40 of the 56 photos i had chosen !! I was floored. and again i held my cool and was VERY calm about it. (I wanted to scream !!!) So i asked him to please show me the shots he did not use (and didnt care to mention until i noticed) and as i looked at the shots he didnt use, i got even more angry (but didnt show it) because these were EXTREMELY important shots to me. I asked him to add everyone in, (and by the way I had given them a list of all photos in order). It winded up that our album will be 10 pages more than the normal one, and we negotiated the additional fee. (to my advantage of course.) I still plan to call and speak to someone about this all. We still have to pick up the final albums. Also in negotations, had asked for a 'master copy'. I had never heard of this, but when i asked how long the video would be i was told 1 1/2 hours and i was totally shocked and thought it would be much longer (its actually close to 2 hours) and I was told 'oh thats the master copy with EVERYTHING' and i simply asked for a copy of it. Basically this has been my experience. They do an excellent job, but these little things being overlooked have dissapointed me a little. I just wanted to let you all know so that you can be prepared in your searches, plans and negotations. I still do highly recomend them, but always be aware of whats going on, always keep on top of what you asked for and always speak up ! GOOD LUCK :) SORRY SO LONG ! :) Anna
