Wedding guest attire

I have some time but this has been nagging me since I knew about it.


Next November My FH and I are invited to our old friends wedding (sept Sat nite Russo's)

FH is one of the groomsmen (I am not in the BP) but I do not know what to wear. I am thinking of wearing a long dress b/c I want to match my FH in his tux but I dont know just how fancy to go....I never go to weddings and have no clue what to wear as a guest!!! HELP PLEASE

I would wear a long gown (if it is a Saturday night)

What does the invite say- black tie, black tie optional??

There is a saying that basically states you can never go wrong with being a little overdressed-- it is underdressed you should be worried about.

Opt for a long dress- or really anything below the knee.
