Wedding Halls

Wedding Halls

I have been all over looking at wedding halls - can I get some input and help - Has anyone been to Majestic Gardens, The Swan Club, Venetian Yacht Club, the Hilton (exit 49s), or Caffe on the Green? Did you like. I actually went to a tasting at Chateau La Mer last night - the food was great, but when they said that my reception was going to be upstairs, I was turned off. I felt that the ceilings wee too low. Does anyone have the same opinion of the room???

Never been to but I heard Majestic Gardens is beautiful! Just had my wedding at Flowerfield in July and it was amazing! I absolutely love it there! The food was delicious, the service was incredible, and the atrium for the cocktail is breathtaking, plus the grounds are gorgeous!

I went to Chateau La Mer and they said for the number of guests, i would use the upstairs room.. i was turned off to it not only because of the low ceilings, i also didnt like the fact that the bridal sweet didnt have its own bahtroom. I would have used a regular size bathroom (PS when i opened the bathroom door it slammed into the stall door.. it was a small bathroom)..

The swan club is beautiful, but it will work better for a smaller weddings. The rooms arent that large

I looked at the Venetian Yacht Club. It was beautiful, but a bit expensive. I also went to a wedding at the Swan Club. The grounds are beautiful and the food and service were very good as well. I enjoyed myself there!

I looked at Majestic Garden and recently went to a wedding at VYC. We really liked them both. Majestic Garden has beautiful grounds and the pricing is great. My coworked got married there and had nothing but wonderful things to stay about it (the girls who went from the office really liked it too). We had a great time at VYC and the food was good -- they weren't available for the date we were looking for.

I haven't been to those halls, but we're getting married at Westbury Manor,in the upstairs room, and the ceilings are low. But our CH room is sooo gorgeous, and all it means is that low CPs will look better, and therefore we're saviing $$. I love our room and CH room. Also, the upstairs is more private than the first floor rooms are. If you're happy with everything else, normal size ceilings as opposed to high ceilings really shouldn't matter, JMHO.......

There was an upstairs room at Westbury Manor? Why don't I remember seeing it?

Re: Wedding Halls

yes, the reception room is the hill room, the ch room is the executive room. how many people are you having? the max capacity is 110 for the hill room.

How many people are you planning on inviting?
We looked at CLM too, and were told we could have the upstairs because we had a smaller wedding. I personally didn't like it. It seemed dark and cold. Venetian was prettier, but the guy was nasty to us because we didn't have 200 people....

Re: Wedding Halls

I lokked at Caffe on the Green and compared to those others you listed, it wouldn't even come close.
There are limited grounds, pretty small spaces, and the price is a bit high for what you get.
Just my opinion of course, but for us thats how we felt.
