So I feel so lost and behind in the all wedding planning process. I want to get married April 29, 2011. But I haven't even book a venue or did anything. My friends say it is not a big deal, some people plan weddings in three months. Do I have to get a dress now or can I wait until next year January? I want to lost at least 20 pounds before I get a dress or even try one on.

I dont think I could plan my wedding in 3 months... I think u should do it the way YOU want it, NOT the way ur friends want it.
I think u shjoudl start lookin for dresses now just to look... if they dont have ur dress in store, they will have to order it so they will take LONGER...
START eating healthier NOW and do exercise....
My Advice is to start doing things NOW, than later... U dont want FJan/Feb to come and find out EVERY PLACE IS BOOK AND U CANNOT GET MARRIED WHRE U WANT TO GE TMARRIED!!!!!!!!!

Not only the Venue, but IF you are getting married in a Church, U MUST check the Chuch availability on the day u want!

You can probably get a venue for next April....I had a friend who got married in 3 mos...depends what you are looking for ....do you have a particualr venue in mind or you are open to anything ? Like not just a catering hall type venue?
I would start looking for my dress now , even if you lose 20 lbs...some of these places have the most amazing seamstresses....
Anything is possibly dont be discouraged , you just have to be open to different things because you are cutting it a bit closer

i wanted to get married april 29, 2011 ... FH and I started looking at venues in January 2010, we looked at 3, and all 3 were already booked. So i would def get a venue ASAP and the rest will fall into place! :) Happy planning!

We are getting married in april. When we looked there was only 2 weekends days open (not including sunday) b/c one weekend is Easter.
Dress wise i mean you can always pay to get a dress rushed. I wanted to wait as long as possible since i have been shedding pounds and every where i go keeps yelling at me so I am going to decide and have the place find out the last possible day they have to measure me and then get measured. But hey if you have the money to put a rush on it go for it. Or if you think you can fall in love with a sample even better!

definately look for a venue and book it to guarentee april and some dress can take 6 months to come in. My friend planned her wedding in 3 months but she had to got a very simple dress off the rack and it was in the catering area of a bar and us bridesmaids were running like crazy to get everything in. But people do plan weddings quickly. I had hard time find a church a year in advance because the churches I wanted were all booked or had 10 am open when my recp is at 7

I'm getting married April 29th as well, and my RH said there was only 2 open weekend dates available, and that was back in march. I'd definitely book a venue first to secure your date

Book your venue ASAP, I booked mine may 09 for my April 29, 2011 wedding.

hhahaha more like i can crash yours bc we are staying at la quinta right next to CB! .... after the wedding. iam having mine at the coral house.
