Wedding in the Bahamas

Hello everyone. I'm hoping you can help me. We have decided to forego the whole LI wedding thing and get married in the bahamas. If anyone has been to a destination wedding in the bahamas or know's someone who has done this, I would really appreciate pictures, advice, or anything else.

Congratulations on your engagement! When we first got engaged we were planning on going to the caribbean to get married too (we aren't anymore but I can remember the info)! I looked into the Atlantis, Ocean Club, and Our Lucaya in the Bahamas. FM if you want any info on these places! Good Luck!

We were in the Bahamas just about two years ago and met a couple that was married on the beach there. It was so beautiful. You can call the Bahamian tourist center for all of the information on what you will need. They planned the whole wedding while they were there. I think they did it in 3 days. You have to go prepared though, I think with birth certificates and a few other items.
They hired a local photographer by the name of Vincent to take photos of the ceremony and after on the beach...I can e-mail them for his last name and get back to you! His pictures were great and they had them to take home by the end of the week. He is a very popular photographer on Nassau....does a lot of weddings as well as photography for a few of the resorts.

I believe she also hired a local florist to do a bouquet and a wreath...everything was really gorgeous!!

Thank you! I will check out the links.
We are looking at the Radisson, cable beach. They have a gazebo right on the beach which is where we would have the ceremony.
We are inviting all of our families and friends (everyone we have talked to so far said they would love to go, so we are lucky).
If you have any pictures, I would really love to see them. I have only seen a few pictures of weddings in the bahamas-mostly from web sites and I'd love to see more (especially from a real wedding there).

I was recently invited to a wedding in the Bahamas. My friend from High School is doing the whole destination too! Here is where she is having it...
Radison Cable Beach Resort, Nassau Bahamas. She got a great deal there. Apparently its an all inclusive resort which is even better when you have so many people! Oops...I didn't realize that you mentioned above that you were already looking into this location. Needless to say, if you want more info. please FM me!
