Wedding Insurance

Just wondering from you ladies....how many of you got wedding insurance? AND, if so, how much does it cost? Does it depend on the vendors....one of my friends is regretful that she didn't get it (her pictures were AWFUL), so I'm torn...

I was going to but decided it wasn't worth the money because it didn't cover what I thought it should cover. I don't think it covers that type of incident with your photos, although it does pay for everyone to get dressed up again and reshoot if there is some reason the wedding doesn't happen that IS covered.

It's actually not THAT expensive considering, about $300 to cover a $35,000 wedding.

Look here Wedsafe

We didn't get it. I looked, and it mostly covers if a family member is ill and the wedding needs to be rescheduled; if there is weather that necessitates cancellation...That type of thing. Not 'bad' pictures, a nasty maitre' d, etc.

Sorry, I wasn't clear about the picture thing. She would want to have the pictures retaken, because all of hers from the photographer were blurry. So, it's not necessarily that it was pictures not to her liking, she can barely manage to find 20 photos for an album she can use..... but if the insurance doesn't cover that, then maybe I'll think about skipping it....

Re: Wedding Insurance

since i got married at the beach during hurricane season and since some close famiy members are ill i decided to spend the 300 for peace of mind. i don't regret it... especially as ivan rained literally on the dance floor ( the door were open as they were try to fix up for the ceremony)

Just think if it would give you peace of mind.... and is it worth it?
