Re: wedding insurance
i think there is a company called 'wedsurance' or 'wedsafe'. i have a flier at home. you pay a reasonable 1X fee...like $150 or something and they coover like 100k. i can't remember the particular but i do remember thinking it was worth it and that i would do it. you sign up for it close to your wedding day. google it for the actual name. Yes! I do this all the time for all the events I plan. Its worth it b/c you never know!!!! When I do events in the city I also get terrorist insurance(yes, they have it...so sad). Its doesn't cost that much but God forbid something happens, you are covered.

Re: wedding insurance
Yes I have heard of it. It is not to expensive 100-200. Wedsafe is a company and travelers insurance has it. We are getting it because our wedding is in the winter, we have out of town guest and the economy. There are 2 types one that covers the wedding and vendors and liability that covers if other people. Damages, driving drunk etc. Hope this helps.

Re: wedding insurance
I heard they don't cover that much and usually are a waste.
totally worth it..i got it for my winter wedding in case of cancellations due to inclement weather but they cover lots more than that for just a few hundred bucks.

Yep. My mother is bugging me to get it so I think I will. I have looked into it and its very reasonable. There are 2 coverages - liability and event cancelation PLUS. I am not worried about liabitility since RH's and vendors are required to have this (covers damage to RH by vendors, lawsuits for injuries etc.) . The event cancellation Plus covers if the event needs to be cancelled or postponed due to sudden illness or death of important member of wedding, weather, it also covers losses day of if event occurs and you don't get your photos back, rings are stolen, money/gifts stolen, etc. I checked it out and for like $35,000 coverage it costs like 1% of that $345 through wedsafe. If you want liability it costs $195. They are 1x fees. I would check it out. For $300 it seems very worth it to protect such a huge investment and you never know whats going to happen if a parent gets ill, or car accident, hurricane or a blizzard. Its terrible to think about but at least then you wont have to worry about these things if you are covered.
