Has anyone considered purchasing wedding coverage for their special day? I was thinking it would be a waste, but my mother kept pushing the idea. Especially since we'll be using antique candelabras from the reception site (with tapered candles). I also figured, since I booked the site 2+ years in advance, it might not be a bad idea - god forbid something should happen to either the church or the hall before our big day. Long story short, I went with Traveler's wedding insurance, which was only a few hundred bucks for coverage. Does anyone have any reviews for Traveler's? Or any other opinions on wedding insurance?

Hahahaha!! Sounds like something my parents would say! And since they did sign our contract, I'm pretty much stuck with that date and the love of my life!

Re: Wedding Insurance
Our rental insurance is by them. They are the best for things like that. No wedding insurance for us. We are also paying for everything ourselves, so not parents are involved.

Re: Wedding Insurance
We are going to get the wedding insurance. I only want it to cover the hall, since that's where the bulk of the money will be spent. My sister had hers thru Traveler's, and they were happy with them, but it's worth mentioning that she didn't really have to deal with them because thank goodness, she didn't need their services!

How much does it generally cost and what does it cover?

It depends on which plan you get. Here's the link http://www.protectmywedding.com/ It can cover anything from your dress and FH tux to the hall and photographer. Check it out.
