Wedding Insurance

Have u girls purchased wedding insurance? If so, what company did you use? Approx what did it cost?

Didn't think about it much but realizing that Hurricane Season is approaching is making me a little nervous. . .

I did, it was less than 500. It goes by the total cost of your wedding. www.wedsafe.com I took the total package - I thought it was diff money well spent for piece of mind.

I contacted my insurance agent and went with a package from Travelers. I also went with a pretty comprehensive package. I'm a pretty paranoid person so I considered it was money well spent!

i used wedsafe as well but only got the insurance that covered vendors, etc not liability
it was like 250-300

I quoted it out but when I look at the details, it said it does not cover acts of nature.. The whole reason I wanted to get it was bc of hurricanes.

mine covers everything except basically if you choose not to have it. or you can actually blame someone for it not happening- ex. medical issues due to drug use.

it doesnt cover weather unless they are so extreme to prevent (important people) from coming. so basically you cant say hey its raining, lets postpone til a sunny day.

also, it covers no-shows and business closures- so it protects you from vendor problems.

also- i figured i am spending like $3500 on honeymoon, of which $100 or $200 is insurance.

i am spending 10 times that on the wedding... $235 (checked contract) isnt too much to spend on insurance! lol

i believe my travelers insurance covered extreme weather conditions, but not normal rainy day conditions.

I purchased wedding insurance after my friend's wedding was canceled because of hurricane Irene (she didn't have insurance.) Although the weather was perfect for my wedding, my photographer never gave my husband and I our wedding photos after the wedding. Thankfully we had insurance but it still upsets me that we'll never be able to get those photos from our wedding. We purchased our insurance through Travelers/Wedding Protector Plan.

That's horrible!!! Can you sue them?
