anyone have a good site that has examples of wording.

and whose names go on the invitation besides the couple? do parents names need to go on it?

party city has a ton of books, i'd just sit one day and go through them, even if its not for an invitation but just for the wording. you can also always type into google.

Re: wedding invitation wording

the wording all depends on who is paying...if its just your parents you say something like the parents of MN would like to invite you to the wedding of their daughter to L son of blah blah...if both parents are paying its the parents of MN and L would like to invite you to blah blah blah...
if you two are paying for everything yourselves then its MN and L would like to invite you to their wedding blah blah blah....

i don know that if you go onto theknot.com they have an article on how to word things and some examples

ETA this is gaby lol not Mr.rocketsummer!! I didnt realize he kept himself logged in...go figure, he is on this thing more than i am now lol

FH and I are paying for it mostly ourselves, so i plan on writing:

'Together with their parents, BRIDE NAME and GROOMS NAME request the honor of your presence at their wedding..'

or something to that extent.

Although FH and I are contributing the most and my dad is giving us some, we are keeping the invites traditional and writing:

Mr x requests the honour of you presence at the wedding of his daughter BRIDE to GROOM, son of Mr & Mrs y
