Semi-I am sending out my invitations next week. I am not sure of the exact date because I don't know when I would get the invitations back from the calligrapher.
Julz-I am going to use laser calligraphy I believe from a vendor on here. More details later.

I must be really late. I still haven't gotten mine back from the printer, b/c I had to get like three different proofs. I was planning on sending it out on the 16th of August...two months before the wedding. Do you think thats too late?

That's when I'm planning to send mine and my wedding is the same date as your. 6-8 weeks is the standard. We're doing eight simply because we have a lot of out of town people who need to make arrangements (even though they got STDs a few months ago)
I just finished the guest list and send it to the calligrapher, but have yet to drop off the envelopes. Unless you're doing hand caliigraphy which takes longer, you should be ok!

It is ok. We wanted to do it earlier so we can give out B list invitations in a good amount of time. In addition, we wanted to allow for people we would have to call, I'm sure .
