So I went to see someone about wedding invites... and I couldn't believe how expensive they are! How much do you guys plan to spend or are spending on your wedding invites?

Re: Wedding Invitations
I haven't gotten them yet but we are not going to spend over $700 for sure. I might even DIY. Did you check out online? They seem to be cheaper online

Re: Wedding Invitations
The ones I have seen I like so far I think I wont go over $250-$300 I have an email for someone who does the pocketfold for $2.50 per invite and that includes the invitation, response card, and reception card.
I have also been looking on exclusivelyweddings.com rexcraft.com

Re: Wedding Invitations
I only need about 100 so I thought I could get nice ones for about $500 but the ones I like are so much more and I really dont want to spend more than $5 an invite because then the reception, response and envelopes add up as well

Re: Wedding Invitations
They can definitely be very expensive but there are some really great sites online that are much cheaper. I got mine at mygatsby.com, but if you post on the 08 boards you will get alot of different sites. Good luck!

Re: Wedding Invitations
Ok - this makes me feel better - the ones I was looking at were 1,200 and I was like, crap - I can't spend that much money on paper that is going to inform people about a wedding that they already know about! hahaha

Re: Wedding Invitations
my hope is to just spend whatever it costs to mail them. I'll be designing them and getting them printed at work
