Wedding invite colours

Wedding invite colours

Hi all
I ran into a problem with the colours on my wedding invitations and I want to make sure no one else makes the same mistake I do!
The colours for the wedding are a very light pink and chocolate brown. I asked for the background of the main invite to be ivory with the script in chocolate brown and then a swatch of sheer light pink fabric laid over the script and attached with a ribbon of corresponding colour. What does corresponding mean to you? to me it means, close to or matching. Wiktionary.org defines it as 'having a similiar relationship to'. So when I received my invitations with a BLACK ribbon on them I freaked out. Apparently, if you order invitations online from a company outside of North America they think corresponding means contrasting!
Eek was I mad. I finally got it all resolved with another manufacturer of wedding invitations who are located in here in the US. They made my invitations properly and for cheaper than the people who screwed it up!
Remember to be clear about the colours you want!

Oh we Canadians can never seem to drop that 'u' even when we move to the US! sorry guys I will watch my spelling next time!
as for the link, well I want to recommend the company and since I am a computer geek I use my skills wherever I go - even on the LIW forum!
Just wanted to contribute to the community, thats all.

How was your wedding? I'd love to see photos, where was it? And those invites must've really gotten you P.O.'d if you're still thinking about how they got screwed up? That sucks.

So uh... Lexy... what can you tell me about wholesale costume jewelry, tablecloths and overlays and destination photography?

Ah I see you are testing me! Well these are the only two photos I have uploaded on this computer right now. One on our honeymoon and one from the ceremony.
Enjoy.

What do you want to know? What can you tell me about yourself?

Re: Wedding invite colours

My wedding is an open book, it's all in my profile. I also have almost 5K posts and everything about me is in them. I'm 28, from Long Island now in Queens, just graduated from law school in May and looking for a job. Hate my current job, love my LIW girls and have been helping to plan the 2011 shower.

The sleeves on your dress are very pretty. Forgive me, but being that I'm so open on the site I get skeptical when other people are so secretive, espcially when they've been a member as long as you. All your posts are themed into groups, there's just nothing out there about you.

Re: Wedding invite colours

thanks for telling me a bit about yourself.

As a law student I am sure you are familiar with the huge surge in identity theft taking place, especially using information from the internet. I love forums and learning from real people but I am not going to post everything in my life on the internet. My life is not an open book except to my family and a few close friends. There is far too much that people can do with even the most cursory information! Its not paranoia anymore, its reality.

So I dont fill in profiles because I am here to contribute and learn. If people want to get to know me better they can meet me in person.

Take care

I personally choose to share more than a lot of people do. I don't expect people to necessarily go to those lengths... but you'd have to be a REALLY GOOD ID thief to be able to steal anything from me based on the paragraph above assuming my profile was blank like yours is. That's part of being part of the community... that release of factual tidbits would happen organically if you really genuinely wanted to be a part. But to each his or her own, I guess. You take care as well.
