So I plan on ordering our invites in the near future. Both my parents and FH's parents are helping us pay for the wedding....BUT definitley not all of it....I wanted your opinions....I definitely plan on incorporating them on the invite, but I wanted to do it like this:
My name and FH name together with their parents
Do you think this is okay or do you feel that I should be including our parents with their actual names?
Please also note...that should we include all names there will be THREE Thomas' listed, FH, my dad, and his dad...a little overkill
Your opinions are greatly appreciated

Before you do the 'together with their parents' speak to all the parents and explain why you're wording it this way. It will save some drama imo (from my experience) if you get their okay first. I think listing all the names you need listed won't give you enough space on any inviation to do so.
I only had to include FH's parents and my aunt and cousins but I wanted to acknowledge both families appropriately and listing all the names would just be confusing enough so I did the following:
Danielle ___________ and Gary ___________ together with their families
yadda yadda yadda....
You get the idea. I first (because FH's parents were paying for the bulk of the wedding) asked them if they would be okay with that and they really appreicated me asking first so it wasn't a shock to them. I love them as though they are my parents and I didn't want to do anything to hurt them.
HTH!

Anytime
It's hard trying to please both side but rather than have someone surprised I'd rather tell them upfront also to see if they have any other suggestions on the invite wording... my aunt at the time was in the hospital so she knew what I was doing but when she actually saw the invitation, she really loved it (and the wording) - and she's a really a PITA to me ALL the time!
FH's parents really loved it as well... they also really appreciated that it wasn't a suprise to them.

I like the 'together with their families'. It encompasses everyone and shouldn't cause any drama. Not that your family strikes me as drama prone.
