Re: wedding invites

Hmmmm I do recall my FSIL purchasing her invites online for around the same price. It might be a bit less of a hassle for you. But you could also always buy the invites printed out and do the envelopes yourself b/c that makes a huge difference in the price. Good Luck

Re: wedding invites

there are TONS of styles out there and some are very reasonable...i personally am going to save myself the trouble of making them myself and order them, most probably from an online site.

Re: wedding invites

I used MyGatsby.com for mine.......AWESOME!!! they sell some stuff that's good for DIYer's, but I paid for them to assemble mine- it came to around $550 for 125 invites, everything included- it was a 3 layered invite w/ thermography.

I have pics of them in wedding items album and some in my proofs album (they're just not as clear). let me know if you have questions.

kits for $450???
guess my definition of kit is different. Got mine from Michael's for $20 with a coupon. I think they came out really nice.

I'm in the same boat! I've been looking for so long, and I just haven't found any that I really like (without it being really expensive)...

I totally gave up on the pocketfold. I wanna save some money. My sister is a graphic artist so Im using her we are buying the cardstock online for around $42 she is going to make them on her computer all I have to do is buy the envelopes (just plain old lined pretty envelopes.)

They will look pretty but wont be amazing oh well its an invitation. I just ordered a sample of the paper and I will show you ladies what I decided on. for a hell of a lot less money

Re: wedding invites

I just bought supplies for my invitation at A Bridal Paperie. Their prices were great. They will do any part of your invitation or announcement- printing, paper, envelopes, ribbons. They were also very helpful about making my own invite. They also gave lots of etiquette advice, which I was totally clueless about. Hope this helps.

Re: wedding invites

One of my bridesmaids is a graphic designer, so she designed my invites. I ended up bringing them to a printer, which I ended up spending more on, but if you wanted to print at home, Paper Presentation has so much. I purchased all our envelopes for our save the dates, invites, and rsvp cards. I also purchased the little holders that the invites went into, paper for accomodation cards, etc. They have a website, but I preferred to go to their store in the city since you can see everything for yourself. I found their prices to be reasonable too. HTH!

ETA: I saw you mentioned about lining your envelopes too. I really loved the look of it, but didn't want to spend too much on it. I ended up lining them myself. It took some extra time, but saved $$.

Just checked out their website - their invitations are BEAUTIFUL! Do you mind sending me the prices? Do they deliver or do you need to go in to work with them?

Thanks v. much!

Re: wedding invites

We got our Checkerboard invitations (normally super expensive) from E-invite @ Costco .

We got everything (125 invites, tissues, inner and outer envelopes, response cards & envelopes, reception cards) for around $300. We got them less than a week later and they were/are gorgeous.

I highly recommend them.

Re: wedding invites

You can work with them either at their showroom in Plainview or by mail and email. I went there because I wanted to see everything they had.

I bought paper and envelopes from them - these were nice quality - they have lots of other papers though. There was a charge to cut the paper- don't remember exactly - possibly $20.
I'm making my own pocketfold (did this in a blue linen) - 5 1/4 x 11 1/2 @ $.20 each; envelopes were 5 1/2 x 8 @ $.30 each
Inside invitation piece: 5 x 7 1/2 approx. - @ $.15 each
Response envelopes 5 3/4' x 4 1/2'@ $.20 each (these are the larger size response envelopes that they use with more expensive invitations)
Response cards were 5 1/2 x 4 1/4 @$.10 each.

Also bought a combination white satin/organdy ribbon 5/8' @$ .50 yd.

I would have had them do the printing, but I'm pretty good with the computer. As I recall their prices were reasonable for raised printing (they do the printing right there).

Good luck with everything.
