Wedding Invites question, 4 months to go & did not pick them out yet..

Should I be worried? When do I send them out?I'm I'm in the Huntington area. Please recommend places to go. I will be doing this all day with my mom and MOH.

How would you word invites when one set of parents are hosting the celebration?

His parents did not want to participate for the reason they were not helped, and they have the $$ to do so. They are not paying for their side of guests either - My FI is reall upset over this & embarrased.
SO,
Include their name such as parents of blah blah..
or
'(my parents) proudly request the honor of your presence at the marriage of their daughter (me) to Mr. (my FI). and thats it, what do you think?

Is that nice?

Try Lion in the Sun in Huntington Village on Main St.

But DEFINATELY do it TODAY!!!
They should be sent at least 2 months before the wedding with an RSVP date of at least 1 month prior.
There are a few different ways you can word them and I'm sure they can help you.

You can either use 'Together with their families (or parents)' or just your parents names if that is what you prefer ir you can have no parent names & just your names.

you're cutting it close but don't worry once your order them it shouldn't take too long for them to come in! Mine only took a few days.

i second cathy of the sweet nut hut and you need to get them back about one month before your wedding and to give your guests about 5 weeks or so to get them back to you--so you are looking at a little over 2 months........it took me long to find mine (2 months) and they took about a month to come in after ordering them-----what kind are you looking for--i might have seen them in my travels!

CurlySue- I'm from Huntington too! Definitely check out Lion in the Sun- they really have beautiful stuff in there. If on a lower budget- you should go to Party City- they have a HUGE selection and extend a 30% off list price to you! Good Luck!!

I hear great things about Lion in the Sun.

I used laura from LA Productions and she just called me today that even the calligraphy is done on my invites, I am sooooo excited. You have a bit of time but not to much. She has a qucik turn around time.

Mine is 3 1/2 away and not ordered yet either, but I am ordering them online (our wedding is semi-formal) next week and should have them within 8 days! I'm using www.chelseapaper.com - and they have an extremely large selection with matching everything

It's a little strange not seeing them up close at first but their editing features are really good and give you a lot of options, and you can see your exact layout before you put the order through.

I went to PartyCity & I LOVE my invites(its really sick, but sometimes I think they are my favorite part). Great service, always 30% off, & came in in a week.
