And I am starting to get a cold sore!!!!!! &*$($#U*(!

I was sooo frantic about this before my wedding. The once and only time that I got a cold sore was a couple of months before the wedding. Well, when I went to pivk up my dress, my sister said to me, it looks like you are getting a cold sore. Let me tell you, that day I took a bottle of alcohol with me everywhere. I kept on wetting a paper towel and dabbing (drenching) my lip with it. Luckily nothing turned up. THANK GOD!!!!!

I've never had one, so I couldn't help you on what to use, but good luck. I hope it disappears ASAP!!!! (BEFORE FRIDAY!)

call you doctor and get a prescription for valtrex. asap

You take those pills the moment you feel it coming on, and it goes away almost instantly.

also try L-Lysine. It's like a vitamin that helps clear it up you can get it anywhere vitamins are sold, (drug store, GNC, supermarket). cold sores come through because of stress or an internal viral infection,etc. Nothing you put on it will cure it faster than something you take orally. Some stuff (like blistex) you put on it might help it feel better, but doesn't cure it.

L-Lysine will save you!!! Trust me!!!! I use it everytime I get one and within days, its gone!!! Good luck!!!

I had a fever blister for my shower. ABREVA works best for me (even better than my prescription).

Oh, I feel for you!!! I hate them and I feel sick when I have them.

last time I had one I used EVERYTHING.......prescriotion stuff, Abreva, Lysine, etc.

I so fear the same thing for my day in November.

It's growing!! I took 4 lysine today, bought abreva and asked the MD to call in an Rx!! UGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

My brother called to say, 'get rid of it! those things are a 'showstopper'

keep taking L-Lysine pills....i used to work at a dr's office and I always remember the dr recommending those pills to patients..

My thoughts exactly but
I use neosporin on my kids when ever they have a scar, or little srap. I hope it helps

Start taking Valtrex right away! You have to get it from a doctor. For something over the counter use abrvia

I spoke to my doctor the other day about it and he is going to give me a rx for lower dose of valtrex to start taking everyday 2 months before MY wedding so I dont get one before the big day!
