I am brand new to LI Weddings and I am getting married on September 21, 2008!
My FH and I had a quick engagement - we just got engaged on 5/31/08 (my birthday) and we booked Westbury Manor immediately since we are having a pretty small (inviting 90 people) wedding.
I have gotten most of my vendors already (photography, DJ, invitations, makeup, shoes, dress) but I still need suggestions on quite a few other things.
Does anyone have a good hair person?
Does anyone know where to get a good hair piece or extensions?
Where is a cheaper place to get a nice veil?
We haven't booked a honeymoon yet (still trying to figure out how to pay for this whole wedding ourselves!)..does someone have a good suggestion in terms of a honeymoon? We are trying to spend under $3,000 for the honeymoon.
Any help you guys can give me would be GREATLY appreciated.

go to barrons at tri county in levittown for your veil...they are cheap but i love my veil! and congrats to u!!!!

Totally agree with Barrons in Tri county for the veil...I tried to go elsewhere but wasn't happy with the quality.
Hair person. It may be difficult getting someone for that date but try posting on vendors helping brides and I'm sure you'll get responses.
Honeymoon. I agree about Travel Tom also, and there are quite a few choices for around $3000....
Sometimes I think planning in a short period of time is the best way to go. No time for doubting your decisions on dresses, napkins, linen colors etc.

barrons tri county for the veil and try the travel sites like expedia or price line or google for a site to bid on vacations, sorry i cant remember the site.....good luck!!!!!!

for hair extensions, check out Sally Beauty Supply in Levittown... they have a set of real human hair for around $80. for your honeymoon, check out Aruba. That is where we are going... choices are limited in late September b/c of hurricane season in the Carribean.

I used Barrons in Tricounty for my veil.. they make them custom for you !! I am using Carmela with Happily Ever After For my hair and makeup, She does airbrush and natural.. IF you want more info just FM me!! Good LUck!

Congratulations!
We are getting married on 9/27/08 and just started planning too! We booked the hall a few weeks ago, but still need to do a lot (even more than you)! My mission for this week is finding a dress - that doesn't take 6 to 8 months to get.
I've heard good things about Baron's for the veil, hair clips, etc.
