Does anyone have any suggestions of where to go in nyc for jewelry and headpieces for the bride and bridesmaids? Someone suggested I go to chinatown, but they were not very specific. Any suggestions would be appreciated =)

I would say look at Macy's or Nordstrom. If you ever get out to Brooklyn, take a look at Loehmann's or costume jewelry shops in Sheepshead Bay. There are a lot of costume jewelry shops in the city, maybe Midtown?

I would say if you google the fashion district, there are plenty of stores that sell that fabric if your into DIY'ing it yourself or choosing your veil and lace material. My mother or aunt will help create the veil for me since I'm attaching 'something old' to the beading that will go on top :)
Beading and other extras you might want are readily accessible there and the cost savings are amazing. Also your veil or jewelry will be one of a kind then :)
I remember getting my prom jewelry at a sample sale there for all of 7 dollars because I made my own bobby pins with red roses I bought there and hot-glue-gun'd it together
