If our wedding is on a Sunday, is it OK to get it Thursday OR friday?

I know there is a 24 hr waiting period before you can get married. I would go on Thursday though so you don't cut it too close.

Probably, you really can get it any time now because it's good for 60 days. FH and I went to the town hall in Manhasset and we were in and out in about 20 minutes. But I think they only give the licenses till 3:15 (or maybe 4:15- I can't remember for sure)

we live in Rhode Island, and both ahve fairly new jobs where we cannot take off during the week....Dammit.....

You can get it Friday for a Sunday wedding as long as you get it in the morning. There is either a 24 or 48 hour waiting period.
Plus, you will need it for the rehearsal if you have one in church so that you can give it to the rehearsal coordinator so that it is there for the priest. Our BM & MOH signed it at the rehearsal and we left it with them.
